Challenge:
An Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) specializing in combine harvesters was facing bottlenecks in their final assembly line. Their technicians were spending excessive time cutting, routing, and connecting multiple hydraulic hoses for the complex header and drive systems directly on the machine. This manual assembly process was slow, prone to errors, and created potential leak points, increasing rework and quality control issues.
Solution:
We collaborated closely with the OEM's engineering department to map out all the required hydraulic circuits. We then took over the fabrication of their entire set of hydraulic hose assemblies. Using our production capacity of up to 500,000 sets annually, we manufactured pre-configured, tested assemblies with precisely cut lengths, correct fittings, and proper routing guides already attached. Our team employed our computer control systems and pressure testing equipment to ensure each assembly met the OEM's exact specifications and quality standards before delivery.
Result:
The implementation of our pre-made hydraulic hose assemblies transformed the OEM's assembly process. Installation time per machine dropped significantly, as technicians simply connected the pre-made assemblies like puzzle pieces. This resulted in a faster production line, reduced labor costs, fewer assembly errors, and a marked improvement in the overall quality and reliability of the final product. The OEM achieved higher throughput and better consistency, strengthening their competitive position in the agricultural market.
